Fortress NetGuard  has started the development of its first Fleet Management solution which we called Global Dispatching System (GDS). Answering demands of some our customers to build a unique dispatching system, our engineers and researchers have studied most of the current dispatching system in the market which we know will not be as comprehensive as our GDS.

Our customers required a system to manage incoming orders (Request for a Taxi pickup / drop), automatically dispatch the order to the nearest available taxi and finally close the order. The Taxi’s will be tracked using a GPS system, jobs will be dispatched to the respective drivers with the option to accept / reject. The system will also maintain a backed database of customer information i.e pickup time, frequent destination, average travel time etc.

FNG will build the GDS using the open source technologies and utilizing the Google maps API’s *.  Our GDS will be built as a web based system, the reason proach because of the following reasons:

• Zero maintenance for the front end devices / appliances.
• Requires a simple browser at the front end (The Browser must support integration with onboard GPS device).
• Application is not tied down to one specific device.
• Enhancements and upgrades are much simpler.
• Given the improvement in wireless data networks web based application are feasible now.
• More control from anywhere with the right access.
